In Kharkiv, rescuers have recovered the body of a deceased resident from under the rubble of a high-rise building, struck by a Russian guided bomb.
City Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported this.
"Rescuers retrieved the body of an elderly woman from under the rubble of the house, which the enemy hit with a guided aerial bomb today. So we have one dead person and 42 wounded," the mayor said.
He noted that the fire at the site of the impact had been extinguished. All relevant services and volunteers are working at the scene.
The Office of the Prosecutor General has indicated that, according to preliminary information, the strike on Kharkiv was carried out by a SU-34 aircraft using a FAB-250 guided aerial bomb, launched from the Tomarivka area in Russia’s Belgorod region.
