The Russian occupiers executed three Ukrainian prisoners of war on the Toretsk front. Law enforcement agencies have initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

As noted, on September 3, 2024, a Telegram channel published information about the alleged execution of Ukrainian servicemen by representatives of the Russian army. The report states that three soldiers from one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades emerged from the basement of a building with their hands raised, when the enemy approached them at close range. The occupiers forced them to lie face down on the ground and then immediately shot them in the back.
"The intentional killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a serious international crime. The information that has been circulated is currently being verified. A series of investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident," the agency stated.
