Some Europeans are still not ready to change.

Chief of Germany's Federal Intelligence Service (BND), Bruno Kahl, states that Russia's aggression against Europe depends on the course of the war in Ukraine. He claims that if the war in Ukraine ends before 2029 or 2030, Russia will pose a threat to Europe. Kahl made this statement in an interview with DW.

"An earlier end to the war in Ukraine will allow the Russians to use their energy where they really want it, namely against Europe," he said.
Reaction of the NSDC to Kahl's statement

In response to Kahl's claim that "if the war in Ukraine lasts another 5 years, it would be safer for Europe," the NSDC reacted. They emphasized that Europeans will not be able to avoid war with Russia, regardless.

"No, dear sir, you will still face war with the Russian Federation in 4-6 years, because you are lazy and unwilling to change socially. Only the Nordics, Poland, and France are ready to resist. Germany cannot even make a Taurus missile faster than in a year and a half. It will never be safer while you remain like this. It is better to prepare now, unfortunately. I understand the Russian psychology well – they will attack NATO countries regardless of us, while you are so weak," said Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC.
