Russians continue attacking civilian settlements and killing Ukrainians.
Over the past 24 hours, several regions of Ukraine have been under continued Russian shellfire. Read more to find out about the situation in the regions on February 5th as reported by the Regional State Administrations.
Chernihiv Region: one mortar strike was recorded in Chernihiv district in over the past 24 hours. The invaders twice dropped ammunition from UAVs in Koriukivka District. Luckily, there were no human casualties or property damage.
Sumy Region: this morning, Znob-Novhorod territorial community was shelled from mortars. Luckily, there were no human casualties or property damage. Yesterday, during the day, the enemy shelled 4 territorial communities in the Region, and namely, including Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda and Velykopysarivka communities. At least 26 "hits" were recorded. Luckily, there were no human casualties or property damage.
Zaporizhzhya Region: over the past 24 hours, the invadrs shelled civilian infrastructure near the settlements of Huliaipole, Chervone, Charivne, Olhivske, Poltavka, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Bilohiria, Zaliznychne, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove. Civilian houses (apartments) and infrastructure were damaged in the strikes. More detailed information will be provided later.
Dnipro Region: Nikopol district was once again twice shelled by the enemy.
Both times, invaders used heavy artillery. Enemy shells landed in Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. Luckily, there were no human casualties. A shell damaged a power transmission line. The local authorities are investigating the strikes and assessing the damage.
Kharkiv Region: over the last 24 hours, the enemy shelled multiple localities in the Slobozhanskiy sector, including Oleksandrivka, Hlyboke, Krasne, Zelene, Neskuchne, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Budarky, Chuhunivka and Velykyi Burluk.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy shelled Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Hrianikivka, Sinkivka, Kupiansk, Pishchane, Kyslivka and Krokhmalne from artillery and tanks.
In Kupiansk, the shells damaged the administrative building of the Kupiansk Office of the Kharkiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Residential buildings and outbuildings were also damaged in the city.
In Vovchansk, private houses and outbuildings were hit, and fires broke out.
Luckily, there were no human casualties.
Luhansk Region: the enemy has focusing its efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk and Lyman sectors.
Over the past day, Ukrainian Defense Forces units repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Kreminna and Shypylivka. In the Kupiansk sector, Russian proxies fired from tanks and artillery targeting Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka. In the Lyman sector, Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka and Dibrova in Luhansk Region were bombed.
The situation in the region remains difficult.
Donetsk Region: active hostilities continue near Vuhledar, Bakhmut and Soledar. Paraskoviivka, Rozdolivka and Vasyukivka near Soledar were heavily shelled.
Yesterday, Chasovyi Yar was shelled with cluster munitions. Numerous apartment buildings and private houses, industrial premises, medium and low-pressure gas pipeline were damaged.
Kurakhove was twice shelled be Russian artillery. A shell directly hit a shop building in the city center. Apartment blocks, private houses, and power lines were also damaged.
Two enemy missiles landed in Druzhkivka at night, hiting a 5-storey apartment building, damaging at least 5 other apartment buildings, and destroying a kindergarten. At least 5 civilians were injured.
In the morning, Soloviove village of Ocheretyne community was shelled. Two houses were damaged. Luckily, there were no human casualties.
Four people were killed and 11 civilians were injured in Donetsk Region over the past 24 hours.
Odesa Region: as a result of a large-scale accident at one of the substations of Ukrenergo in Odesa region, Odesa and part of Odesa District have been temporarily left without electricity since yesterday. Repair operations is underway to eliminate the accident and its consequences. All services and facilities are involved. As of the night and morning, almost 500 thousand customers still have no power supply.
Mykolaiv region: yesterday afternoon and tonight, the enemy launched artillery strikes on the water area of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.
Also yesterday, the enemy fired from an artillery system at the Kutsurub community. Luckily, there were no human casualties or property damage.
Kherson Region: invaders shell civilian targets every day. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Antonivka and Kherson were barraged from mortars, conventional and rocket-launching artillery. Multiple villages, including Ivanivka, Havrylivka, Mykilske, Novooleksandrivka, Vesele and others, were bombed over the past 24 hours.
Yesterday, one person was injured, and other civilian was killed as a result of Russian aggression.
