As of now, three killed and two injured people have been reported.

On September 12, the Russian occupiers struck vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) humanitarian mission in Donetsk region.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this in his Telegram channel.

As of now, three people are confirmed killed and two are injured. The injured are receiving all necessary medical assistance.

"In this war, everything is absolutely clear: Russia brings evil, while Ukraine protects lives. And if anyone wants to hear about "both sides", in Russia, this is only perceived as permission to continue killing," the President emphasized.

Zelenskyy urged the international community to respond "harshly and decisively."

"We cannot remain indifferent - both countries and international organizations. Only together can the world force Russia to stop this terror and make Moscow seek peace," he concluded.

Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Lubinets clarified that the Russian artillery shelling targeted the village of Virolyubivka in Donetsk region. The ICRC workers were in a truck transporting humanitarian aid.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, as reported on Telegram, the ICRC staff arrived in the settlement to distribute fuel briquettes to local residents for heating their homes. At the time of the shelling, they were unloading the delivered aid.

International Committee of the Red Cross "traditionally silent"

"It is known about the shelling, but the ICRC, just like the IFRC, remains silent! No reaction, condemnation or expressions of sympathy! This silence only covers up Russia's criminal policy. The ICRC must officially and publicly acknowledge Russia's violations of the Geneva Conventions. Are the ICRC officials becoming completely indifferent to the deaths of their own staff? Are they so afraid to speak the truth?"- expressed the indignation of the Ukrainian Ombudsman.
