According to Musienko, the Russians are interested in dislodging our forces out of the city, by completely destroying Vovchansk.

The Russian occupiers, most likely, do not plan to gain a foothold in Vovchansk in Kharkiv region, but simply seek to destroy the city and move on.

Military expert and Head of the Center for Military and Legal Studies Oleksandr Musienko stated this on the air of the telethon.

"Most likely, the enemy does not plan to gain a foothold in Vovchansk itself. They are interested in dislodging our forces out of there and then, having completely destroyed Vovchansk, starting to gain a foothold somewhere 2-3 kilometers to the south. That is, the enemy has such an intention. And then, if they succeed, to move towards the settlement of Bilyi Kolodyaz. This is the intention as of today," the analyst said.

According to him, Russia may soon transfer reinforcements to this area.

"Or it is not excluded that they may try to stretch the defense line of Ukrainian forces in Kharkiv region and conduct certain distracting actions, but still offensive towards Kozacha Lopan," Musienko added.
