Search and rescue operations continue, with up to five people possibly remaining under the rubble.
As of September 5, the death toll from the Russian strike on an educational institution in Poltava has reached 54 people.
This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"The death toll from the Russian strike on the educational institution in Poltava has risen to 54. Another 297 people have been injured. Search and rescue operations continue with safety precautions in place. It is likely that up to five people may still be trapped under the rubble," the statement reads.
The ministry also noted that 1,760 tons of construction debris have already been cleared and removed.
