Police are conducting door-to-door checks to determine if there are any victims.
On September 3, emergency services in Poltava continue to clear the rubble and rescue people following the missile strike. In addition to the institute and hospital, several high-rise buildings in the city have been damaged.
This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko. Rescue teams have contained the fire at the impact site in Poltava and continue to clear the rubble.
"Thanks to prompt and coordinated efforts, 25 people have been rescued, with 11 of them being pulled out from under the rubble. All injured individuals are being promptly handed over to medical teams for treatment," the minister stated.
He notes that a residential area is located near the impact site. The blast wave shattered windows in the high-rise buildings and damaged their facades.
The police are conducting door-to-door checks to see if there are any victims. Approximately 100 reports of damaged property have already been recorded.
"Rescue services will continue their work, taking safety considerations into account, until we are certain that everyone has been rescued from under the rubble," Klymenko added.
