Due to the war and stress, strokes in Ukraine have significantly "gotten younger."

Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, during his speech at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2024) in Berlin on Tuesday, June 11, reported that after the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, strokes have shifted to a younger age category.

This was reported by "Interfax-Ukraine."

"I can now enter the discussion and show the figures of stroke increases, which are specifically caused by the stressful situations we are experiencing. Today, we can already confirm research from previous years that in a country where there is ongoing war, strokes become younger by 10-15 years," the minister said.

He added that in severe stressful situations, strokes "affect a completely different age category."
