In particular, the Russian occupiers continue to rush in the direction of Pokrovsk.

In fact, active combat operations of varying intensity are taking place on the entire front in Ukraine. Thus, Russian troops continue to rush towards Pokrovsk. Fierce battles continue in Krasnohorovka, in the areas of Progres, Zalizny, Pivnicnhy and Chasiv Yar.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this on July 22.

Syrskyi states, that he is working on the hottest sections of the eastern front. Despite significant losses, Russian troops continue to push towards Pokrovsk. Fierce battles continue in Krasnohorivka, in the areas of Progres, Zalizne, Pivnichne and Chasiv Yar. The occupiers do not stop trying to seize Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, attack Ukrainian positions in Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, try to seize the islands of the floodplain on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

"Active combat operations of varying intensity are taking place across almost the entire frontline," the Commander-in-Chief noted.

He also explains what can be done to halt the enemy's advance, which has a numerical advantage:

"The answer is effective fire damage to the main enemy forces and their reserves at long distances, comprehensive damage to the enemy before the front edge, stable holding of well-prepared defensive lines and positions, and maximally effective use of all weaponry and ammunition, particularly combat drones, in which we have an advantage. Additionally, mastering new methods of destroying enemy reconnaissance UAVs under conditions of a severe shortage of short-range anti-aircraft missiles, using only electronic warfare systems and FPV drones."

Syrskyi stresses that this requires high-quality training of all categories of servicemen to carry out combat missions. Preparing staff at all levels is crucial to maximize the combat capabilities of the troops and minimize losses. Therefore, as reported by the Commander-in-Chief, he inspected the preparation of reserves for combat.

"I note the maximum approximation of training sessions to real combat conditions, the use of drones with payloads and FPV drones to simulate enemy actions, allowing our warriors to practically destroy this extremely dangerous type of weapon. We should leverage our advantage in the use of combat drones and FPV drones in destroying enemy UAVs," Syrskyi stated.

He also mentioned that he met with every brigade commander holding the defense in the main areas of enemy action.

"We discussed ways to improve the effectiveness of our actions, replenishing losses, supplying ammunition and resolving other problematic issues," the Commander-in-Chief reported.
