The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Urged to Increase Pressure on Russia and Enhance the Military Aid Due to the Fake Referendums

Russia claimed that the "referendums" held in the sezied parts of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhya regions were over with great support of the local population and had given the population great support.

In response, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry issued a corresponding statement calling on the EU, NATO and G7 countries to immediately and significantly increase pressure on Russia and greatly enhance military aid to Ukraine.

On September 23rd-27th, Russia held a propagandist show called "the referendums" in the temporarily seized parts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions of Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry’s statement reads.

"Ukraine calls on the EU, NATO and G7 countries to immediately and significantly increase pressure on the aggressor state, including tough new sanctions against Russia and to greatly enhance military support for Ukraine, including, but not limited to supply of tanks, fighter jets, armored vehicles, long-range artillery, anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence systems," the Foreign Ministry stated.
