The enemy has initiated the procedure of "nationalization" of the property of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region.
This was reported by the National Resistance Center.
"Most of the region's population was forced to leave the region after the occupation. Now the Russians have started a new wave of property confiscation with subsequent transfer to their cronies," the source reported.
According to the approved procedure, the occupiers can declare premises "non-residential" if the owners have not re-registered it according to Russian rules or have not paid utility bills for a year at the address.
Now all property owners have 30 days to re-register ownership rights.
"Of course, the majority of the population that left the cities won't be able to do this. Thus, the Russians will simply seize the housing," the National Resistance Center added.
They also remind that all Russian legal acts are "legally void," and all housing owners as of February 24, 2022, will remain as such.
