A significant number of Russian soldiers have been eliminated in this section of the front.
The Russian army continues its attempts to break through the Ukrainian defense line in the Pokrovsk direction. On the morning of September 12, the occupiers launched an attack with armored vehicles.
This was reported by Serhiy Tsekhotsky, an officer of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, on the air of the telethon.
"This morning, 14 units of heavy armored vehicles attacked near the settlement of Krasnohorivka. Currently, 5 units have already been destroyed – 4 BMPs and 1 tank. Fighting is ongoing. Approximately 30 occupiers have been killed – this is just overnight. Further details will follow later," the military officer said.
According to him, over the past day, about 50 occupiers have been eliminated in this section of the front, more than 10 UAVs have been shot down, and 97 Russian drones have been deactivated by electronic warfare means.
Tsekhotsky emphasizes that the previous time the invaders conducted similar assault actions with such a large amount of equipment was on the night of September 2. At that time, the occupiers used 12 units of armored vehicles. Between these attacks, the enemy conducted regular assaults with small and large infantry groups.
"These were assaults every day and every night. Infantry assaults without the use of equipment. They need some time to regroup, gather forces and bring in more equipment. That’s why there has been a 10-day pause. When they do not achieve the success they expected with infantry assaults, they try to strike the defense with heavy mechanized blows," Serhiy Tsekhotsky said.
