Russian occupiers are actively using guided winged aerial bombs against Ukrainian military personnel. This is a new threat that arises in the front-line zone almost every day.
This was reported by the spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, in a telethon broadcast.
According to him, Russian military personnel drop these bombs without entering the zone of Ukrainian air defense.
"500 kg bombs weighing fly tens of kilometers. I remind you that this bomb has a warhead, and we need to do something with it. Not only with air defense means, which we are waiting for. We must increase pressure and work with our Western partners to create an aviation coalition and provide Ukraine with fighters," Ignat emphasized.
The Air Force representative says that Ukraine clearly knows what type of aircraft is needed to counter the constant attacks of the Russians. At the same time, air defense systems will not be able to cover the entire territory of the country, he noted.
