An attack on the ammunition depot in Toropets will reduce Russia's capabilities for missile strikes, but it will not stop them, an expert said.
Russia is likely preparing for a new massive strike on Ukraine, potentially targeting a civilian facility.
This was stated by Oleksandr Musienko, Head of the Center for Military and Legal Studies in a comment to the YouTube channel RBC-Ukraine.
He says that today’s attack on the ammunition depot in Toropets, Tver region, will diminish Russia's capabilities for missile strikes but will not eliminate them.
"And this is a success. It will postpone certain strikes because it is obvious that Russia is preparing for a large-scale attack," Musienko said.
The expert also reacted to a recent statement by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service alleging that Ukraine is supposedly preparing strikes against its own hospitals. This may indicate the likelihood of another terrorist act by Russia.
"I mean the shelling and their criminal actions, as we saw against "Ohmatdyt." I suspect that the enemy may strike our medical institutions and other civilian infrastructure to try to break our resistance and sow demoralization," the expert noted.
