He believes that the involvement of North Korean soldiers in the war against Ukraine is quite real.
Even unmotivated and poorly equipped soldiers from North Korea can significantly influence the situation on the front lines.
This opinion was expressed by Deputy Commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade, Maksym Zhorin, on Telegram.
In his view, certain specialists from North Korea have long been conducting joint work with Russia, primarily concerning air defense, engineers, and so on.
“As for infantry, it is clear that this will not be the most motivated or high-quality infantry, but they are nonetheless people needed on the front. They can significantly impact the situation, even if they replace Russian units in the rear,” Zhorin stated.
He believes that involving North Korean troops is entirely feasible. Unlike our Western partners, Russia’s allies have no restrictions on helping in any way they can.
“Moreover, North Korea is certainly not scared of sanctions,” Zhorin added, reminding that the North Korean regime had long been under multiple sanctions.
