Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on China and Brazil to stop Russia and demonstrate their strength.

Last summer, China and Brazil jointly developed a so-called "peace plan" for ending the war in Ukraine. President Zelenskyy believes that this plan effectively takes the side of Russia.

This was reported by "24Kanal."

The China-Brazil plan for resolving the situation in Ukraine consists of six points. It essentially proposes a "freezing of the conflict." Volodymyr Zelenskyy described it as "destructive" in an interview with Metrópoles.

Zelenskyy’s reaction to the "peace" plan

The President noted that the China-Brazil proposal is merely a political statement. He suggested that both the Brazilian President and the Chinese side sit down together and discuss ways to end the war.

Zelenskyy emphasized that China and Brazil are not enemies of Ukraine, and Ukraine is not an enemy to them. Therefore, he is surprised that Beijing and Brasília suddenly decided they should either side with Russia or remain neutral.

“We are not fighting in between. We are not fighting on the border. We are fighting on our own land. You should stop the Russians. Show that you are strong countries,” the President stated.

Zelenskyy did not hide his outrage that China and Brazil took it upon themselves to propose "peace plans" without asking Kyiv.

“We’re not stupid. What’s with this theater? You discussed some initiative with Russia. You propose the initiative and say: "Let’s accept it." This is clearly not about justice, not about values. This shows a lack of respect for Ukraine, a lack of respect for territorial integrity, which both China and Brazil speak so much about,” the politician concluded.

Additionally, during his visit to Italy, President Zelenskyy urged allies not to allow a repeat of the "Minsk" scenario, i.e., a frozen conflict.
