The new drone may be strike-capable, but there is no information about its combat section.
On the night of July 20, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with a new drone, the type of which has not yet been identified. It may be a strike UAV, but there is no information about its combat section.
This was reported by Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political analyst of the "Information Resistance" group, on the "Espreso" TV channel.
"Everything depends on the function these drones are performing. The thing is, altitudes of 20-30 meters are problematic for radar stations to detect and track such objects. What are these UAVs used for? If it's a reconnaissance UAV, this altitude is small. Reconnaissance UAVs operate at 4-6 km. That is, to be able to carry out reconnaissance activities at long distances, taking into account the altitude," Oleksandr Kovalenko stressed.
He also adds that the new drone might be strike-capable, but there is no information about its combat section.
"Therefore, it is possible that this could be a UAV that, in the future, might be used as a kind of aerial mini-EW – an electronic warfare complex to suppress our systems for tracking the Shahed-136 swarm, and to suppress the systems, as these swarms approach, for example, the location of our air defense systems. So, in fact, there could be various configurations," the military-political analyst explained.
