The Russians plan to transform their accumulated resources into territorial gains in the south of Zaporizhzhia region.
Russian forces are expected to concentrate their efforts in the south of Zaporizhzhia region in the near future. At the same time, the enemy will not stop attacks in the north of Kharkiv region.
This assessment was shared by former spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military expert Vladyslav Seleznyov in a comment to TSN.ua.
Seleznyov explained where he believes the occupiers might concentrate their efforts in the coming months.
"I'll say something somewhat unpopular. Right now, all attention is focused on the east of our country. Again, the enemy is starting to become more active in Kharkiv region. We see that they are moving resources there. However, I am convinced that the enemy, in the near future, will try to transform the accumulated resources concentrated in the south of Zaporizhzhia region into territorial gains," the expert shared his assessment.
He noted that residents of occupied Mariupol constantly report the arrival of Russian military ships, as well as ships delivering military cargo to the local port.
"I think that the enemy is accumulating resources there, and most likely, they will try to use these resources appropriately in the Zaporizhzhia direction," Seleznyov said.
At the same time, he added, the enemy will not stop trying to attack in the north of Kharkiv region. The former spokesman of the General Staff drew attention to the fact that the Russians moved units of the 155th Marine Brigade to Kharkiv region. Recently they fought in Kramatorsk region. Units of the enemy's 810th Marine Brigade, which was fighting in the south of Kherson region, were also moved there.
"The enemy is transferring many units from the 44th Army Corps to that area. These units were recently in Kursk region, but we see that the situation has changed. Putin's stance on creating a "sanitary zone" in the Ukrainian border areas remains unchanged. Despite heavy losses, Russian troops are being sent to slaughter," the expert explained.
