According to the President, despite intense and difficult battles, Ukrainian forces continue to advance in Kursk region.
Ukraine controls 74 settlements in Russia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this after a conversation with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
According to him, 74 settlements in Kursk region are under Ukrainian control. Inspections and stabilization measures are being carried out there, and humanitarian solutions for these territories are being developed.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct operations in Kursk region. Over the past day, our troops advanced in certain directions by 1 to 3 kilometers, gaining control over 40 square kilometers of territory. As of today, 74 settlements are under our control. Battles are ongoing along the entire front line. Despite the high intensity of combat, the situation is under control," Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi reported to the President.
