Russian athletes may participate in the Olympic Games under the white flag, but there is no difference.
Russian athletes must not participate in the Olympic Games, which will be held in France. And it doesn't matter what flag they may use there - white or tricolor.
This was stated by President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Our view of the Olympic Games in France - of course, we would not want murderers or certain athletes representing a terrorist organization, called Russia, to represent it in France during the Olympic Games. We would like France to be fully on the side of justice in this humanitarian aspect. In this case - on our side," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
According to him, Russian athletes at the Olympic Games may participate under the white flag - however, there is no difference in this.
"If there is no Russian flag, but there is a white flag - we are not idiots - everyone in the stands and on all the platforms in the world will understand who with a white flag is. This is a Russian. Russians may be represented at the Olympic Games under a white flag. What is the difference – whether it's white or tricolor?" - the President noted.
