Putin’s regime makes statement on the “affiliation” of new regions to Russia

Moscow cynically asserts the “affiliation” of Ukrainian regions.

Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir Putin.

Russia has cynically declared that the question of the “affiliation” of the so-called “new regions” — Donbas and Novorossiya — is not up for discussion.

This was stated by the spokesman of the Kremlin’s “führer,” Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, the “new regions are an integral part of Russia.” This refers to the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as the so-called “LPR” and “DPR.”

“So it’s impossible to pose the question that way,” Peskov arrogantly responded to a question about the potential transfer of control over Donbas and the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions from Moscow as a necessary condition for ending the “special military operation.”

Peskov also commented on the meeting between representatives of Ukraine and the United States in Paris. The Kremlin believes that “various aspects of a settlement” will be discussed there.
