Kyslytsia pointed to a connection between Russian statements about losing loved ones in the war and the death of his nephew in a combat zone.

Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsia commented on the intimidation by the Russians during the Istanbul negotiations. He suggests that some of the threats might have been directed at him, specifically regarding the tragic death of his nephew Maksym on the frontline.

Kyslytsia wrote about this on the X platform.

He called Medinsky’s statements a tactic of intimidation and assured that it did not work.

«Whoever was the target of this „intimidation“ tactic in our delegation — me, perhaps others, or all of us — it didn’t work. In fact, it had the exact opposite effect. It only strengthens our resolve to stop the evil that boasts of killing and is determined to keep killing our innocent citizens, ” Kyslytsia noted.

The minister attached a photo of the soldier who died on the frontline in 2022 to the post.

«Maks was 23 years old, and he will forever remain young in our memory, ” Kyslytsia wrote.
