Border Guard Service spokesman reveals where the enemy launched an offensive
The enemy is deploying all available means, from artillery to FPV drones and assault groups.
The enemy has intensified attacks on border regions
Russian forces have intensified their activities along the entire border, particularly in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, following the so-called “Easter Truce.”
This was stated by Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, on the air of the telethon.
“During their announced "ceasefire," the strikes never stopped. Now, activity has significantly increased, especially in Sumy and Kharkiv directions,” Demchenko noted.
According to the State Border Guard Service, near the Sumy region’s border, the enemy is employing small assault groups, particularly in the areas of Basivka and Zhuravka. In Kharkiv region, the main concentration of forces is focused around the settlements of Lyptsi and Vovchansk.
“Fortunately, there has been no widespread use of armored vehicles so far, but the enemy is attempting to establish positions and expand combat operations on our territory,” the spokesman says.
Meanwhile, in Chernihiv region, near the border with Russia’s Bryansk region, the situation remains under control. There are no changes along the border with Belarus, though Ukrainian forces continue fortification efforts to prevent potential provocations.
“As long as Belarus remains an ally of Russia, we cannot afford to let our guard down,” Demchenko stressed.
