In the event of a ceasefire being established in the Black Sea, Ukraine’s Navy will be able to ensure compliance with it. This is evidenced by the ongoing monitoring of the maritime area already being conducted by the Ukrainian side.

This was stated by Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Oleksiy Neizhpapa, in an interview with Radio Svoboda.

"It’s very simple. We are currently monitoring the situation at sea. You see the Navy’s daily reports on how many enemy ships are in the sea. We are monitoring the situation completely. We, the Air Force, intelligence units, and the Ministry of Defense. We have full information about what is happening, where, and on the enemy’s side," he said.

According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have their own intelligence system, but Ukraine’s partners possess higher-quality and broader capabilities.

The Navy Commander believes a ceasefire is possible if the leadership makes such a decision. He emphasizeі that the military, including the Armed Forces of Ukraine, follow orders — if a “Stop” command is given, they will carry it out.
