Vladimir Putin and the strike on Kyiv with "Oreshnik"
Russian president Vladimir Putin has instructed the Ministry of Defense to identify targets in Kyiv for a strike with the "Oreshnik" missile in retaliation for attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Moscow on Victory Day.
This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel Mash, citing sources.
Russian propagandists assert that, according to their sources, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are allegedly preparing "provocations in Moscow more serious than drone strikes." It is noted that the response to these will be severe and will likely directly affect Kyiv.
"As Mash has learned, Vladimir Putin has given instructions to the Russian Ministry of Defense to identify targets in Kyiv for a strike with the "Oreshnik." It seems there will be no ceasefire," the report states.
Notably, the day before, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Putin's initiative for a three-day ceasefire on the occasion of Victory Day remained relevant. However, the dictator's spokesperson threatened that Russia would provide an adequate response if Ukraine continues attempts to carry out strikes during this period.
