Russia employs new tactical shift with Molniya drones: What makes it dangerous

Serhii «Flash» has warned military personnel about new frequencies used by Russian «Molniya» UAVs. Widely used detectors may fail to spot hostile drones.

Russian forces have begun launching Molniya-type drones operating on a new video frequency band. The majority of Ukrainian detectors fail to register them or provide highly degraded tracking.

The shift was reported by radio technology expert and advisor to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Serhii «Flash» Beskrestnov.

According to his data, the enemy has switched video transmission for Molniya drones to the 4.1–4.5 GHz band (specifically 4.3–4.5 GHz). Since a significant portion of the technical equipment used by Ukrainian troops is not designed to scan these frequencies effectively, the drones can go unnoticed.

«I am issuing this warning so that reliance on your detector does not cost you your life,» Serhii «Flash» stressed, addressing frontline servicemen.
