Russian forces have managed a deep push into the rear of Ukrainian defenses in the Dobropillia sector, using the tactics of concealed sabotage units.

This was reported by the commander of the company of unmanned aerial systems of the 2nd Battalion of Ukraine’s 68th Jaeger Brigade, callsign «Furia, ” during a broadcast on Hromadske Radio.

According to him, the enemy executed an unexpected maneuver, sending sabotage groups deep behind the lines to cut off supply routes.

«They probe all along the junctions between our brigades to find weak spots. The moment they discover one, they immediately throw in human-wave assaults, ” he explained.

«Furia» also noted that Ukrainian positions often lack sufficient infantry to fend off massed attacks.

«Command has always raised this issue, but no reinforcements have arrived. As a result, they simply kept throwing in human-wave assaults and managed to break through, ” the officer stressed.

At the same time, he adds that Ukrainian troops are countering the enemy attacks, and the salient created by the sudden advance could be cut off, allowing the capture of Russian troops. To that end, reserves have been deployed and new brigades committed to the fight.
