The Russians adopt Ukrainian tactics: How this affects the front line

To effectively counter the enemy, an increase in armaments is needed — in particular, long-range systems.

Russian forces are adopting the experience of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and are effectively using tactics that we employed two years ago.

Serviceman, call sign "Osman," Stanislav Buniatov said this.

According to him, in 2022, thanks to HIMARS strikes, Ukraine’s Defense Forces were able to effectively destroy enemy warehouses, equipment, and logistical hubs, which contributed to the success of offensive operations.

However, the situation has changed somewhat today. The Russians have learned from their defeats and are now relocating warehouses, command posts, and equipment further from the line of contact, reducing our ability to strike them with short- and medium-range precision weapons. This creates the need for long-range missile systems.

In addition, the enemy is actively employing a comprehensive approach to warfare — notably striking our crossings with guided aerial bombs in the Lyman and Zaporizhzhia directions, and implementing a tactic of fire control over logistics using FPV drones.

“Russia is now using the same tactics against us that we previously used against them — but adapting them to new conditions. And unfortunately, they are having some success,” Buniatov noted.

“It’s sad to admit, but the enemy now not only outnumbers us but is beginning to surpass us technologically. Our task is to recognize these changes and adapt our actions accordingly — as we’ve already done, for example, at sea,” he added.
