Kremlin calls key negotiation issue «critical» and makes new statement on war duration
Moscow has cynically claimed it is awaiting negotiations while showing no intention of ending the war in Ukraine.
Dmitry Peskov
Russia, the aggressor, has allegedly not lost interest in talks over Ukraine but will continue military operations for the foreseeable future, Russian «fuhrer» Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said cynically.
According to Peskov, Moscow is expecting a new round of negotiations to take place «as soon as circumstances allow».
However, he said «key and critical» issues for the Kremlin remain unresolved, including territorial questions, which he described as the main subject for discussion.
«There has been no progress on them, and there still isn’t any, ” he said.
The Kremlin representative also accused Ukraine of lacking interest in peace, saying Russia continues what it calls its «special military operation» to «minimize Kyiv’s potential».
