The Kremlin claims there is a pause in US mediation regarding the peace process in Ukraine, while noting that contacts are nevertheless ongoing with both Moscow and Kyiv.
This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian dictator president. According to him, the American side has not yet briefed the Kremlin on the outcomes of the talks between US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Peskov suggested that if there were «any new developments» that the Russian Federation should be aware of, Washington would communicate everything.
Peskov audaciously dismissed Europe’s mediation, claiming they are «far from ready to act as mediators.» The «fuhrer’s» representative even characteristically leveled accusations against European nations, alleging they are focusing «on prolonging the war, rather than on peace negotiations.»
«Initiating mediation efforts by imposing conditions on Russia is illogical, it is wrong, and, of course, it is unacceptable to us,» he arrogantly stated.0
