On July 23, during the negotiations in Istanbul, the Russian side proposed continuing talks online to «save time and money.»

This was stated by the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, during a briefing.

According to him, the Russians suggested forming three working groups to operate online: on political, humanitarian, and military issues.

Medinsky said this would help save time and money spent on trips to Istanbul.

He noted that the Ukrainian side agreed to consider the proposal regarding the working groups.

The head of the Russian delegation also announced another large-scale prisoner exchange — approximately 1,200 people from both sides.

Additionally, he stated readiness to hand over the bodies of 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers for burial, adding that Russia has already transferred over 7,000 bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters and received a small number of its own.
