President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has once again issued a warning to the Belarusian authorities.
He stated this during his traditional video address on June 20.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine has repeatedly signaled that Russia's efforts to drag Belarus into this war could lead to highly dangerous consequences.
However, Ukraine has detected specialized equipment installed along our border on Belarusian territory that helps Russia launch drone strikes against Ukrainian territory. This refers to four such repeaters located in Belarus, specifically in the Gomel and Brest regions.
"It is precisely because of this equipment that strikes were carried out on the Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Volyn regions—targeting our energy infrastructure, our railways, our cities and villages. Belarus has time to dismantle this equipment," Zelenskyy said, issuing the ultimatum.
He also assured that Ukraine is fully aware of every factory in Belarus working for Russia and the war effort.
"Every enterprise supplying components for Russian weapons—for armored vehicles, for missile systems—as well as enterprises supplying Russia with fuel for the war, is a direct involvement of Belarus in the war. Ukraine does not want this, and we have warned the de facto leadership of Belarus, which influences these developments," the president said.
According to his data, from January to May alone, gasoline supplies from Belarus to Russia increased 13-fold compared to the same period last year, while diesel supplies tripled.
"Unfortunately, this helps Russia adapt to the pressure and does not bring peace any closer. It should be the opposite: peace must be brought closer, and Belarus should do the things its de facto leadership talks about through unofficial channels, so that we in Ukraine can truly see that Belarus is genuinely against this war," Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
