Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has resorted to threats and intimidation directed at foreign missions in Ukraine’s capital, fueled by the Kremlin’s fear of a potential strike on Moscow during the Red Square parade on May 9.
Propaganda-driven Russian media outlets cited her statement.
Despite the aggressor state’s failure to respond to the ceasefire proposal announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy effective midnight May 6, the Kremlin continues to demand a «silence regime» during the so-called «Victory Day» celebrations on May 9.
Zakharova characterized Ukraine’s symmetrical response to the constant strikes of its cities, including Kyiv, as «Zelenskyy’s threats» to attack Moscow.
She stated that if an attack occurs on the aggressor state’s capital on May 9, while Russian president Vladimir Putin hosts a «scaled-back» parade on Red Square, the Russian terrorist army will strike Kyiv, specifically targeting decision-making centers.
At the same time, she said that the Russian Foreign Ministry has appealed to foreign embassies, urging them to «ensure the early evacuation of their diplomats from Kyiv.»
