U.S. shows the wrong Kharkiv after Russian attack (photos)

The footage in the Local10 news segment about the shelling of Kharkiv likely depicts events in the Gaza Strip following Israeli strikes.

A regional channel in the US showed a story about the attacks on Kharkiv, using footage from a Muslim country

The regional American channel Local10 produced a report about strikes on Kharkiv, using footage from a Muslim country.

This is evident from the footage used in the Local10 segment.

Local10 is a television channel broadcasting from Florida. On June 10, they aired a segment about the Russian shelling of Kharkiv that occurred on the night of June 7. However, the video shown included footage from another country — likely a Muslim one, judging by the residents’ clothing and the infrastructure.

During the broadcast, the anchor quoted Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, who called the Russian attack on the city «the most powerful» since the beginning of the full-scale war.

The segment was subtitled with «Ukraine» and «Kharkiv, ” but the footage used to illustrate the news did not come from Ukraine. It is likely that the footage was taken in the Gaza Strip following Israeli strikes.
