The Kremlin leader's statement came amid regular Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine.

Russian president Vladimir Putin has announced his intention to continue large-scale attacks on Ukrainian territory, particularly targeting defense industry facilities and the infrastructure that supports their operation.

The corresponding statement by the Kremlin ruler was quoted by Russian state propaganda agency TASS.

The Russian leader effectively threatened new massive strikes on Ukrainian cities, emphasizing the need to further increase pressure on Ukraine's defense sector.

"Massive strikes against Ukraine's military-industrial complex and supporting facilities must continue," Putin said.

The statement comes amid regular Russian missile and drone strikes across Ukraine, which hit residential and civilian infrastructure.

Kyiv has repeatedly stressed that such actions by Russia constitute an element of terror against the civilian population and further demonstrate the Kremlin's unwillingness to end its aggression against Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities continue to urge international partners to strengthen air defense systems and increase support to protect cities from potential massive Russian attacks.
