Battles for Chasiv Yar: who controls the city 

Russian army continues to attack Ukrainian military positions in Donetsk region, particularly near Chasiv Yar. Currently, 90% of the city's territory is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This was reported by Oleksandr Kalashnikov, press officer of the 26th Artillery Brigade named after General Roman Dashkevych, during an interview on "Espresso." 

"According to DeepState, 90% of the territory of Chasiv Yar is under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, while 10% is partially controlled by the Russians and partially is a gray zone where active combat is taking place. The enemy is trying to assault the city itself in these areas," the military officer explained.

According to him, the invaders try to find weak spots in the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Currently, the entire front is under the pressure of assault actions. However, their intensity varies depending on the direction, Kalashnikov said. 

"The enemy is trying to make the most of all available firepower," he noted.
