The Russian terrorist army in Ukraine killed at least 9,444 civilians, including 545 children. Additionally, nearly 17,000 people, including 1,156 children, were wounded.

This information was reported by Rosemary DiCarlo, the UN's Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs.

The UN Deputy Secretary-General emphasized that Russia is responsible for the incredible suffering of the Ukrainian people.

"Eighteen months of death, destruction, and incredible suffering for the Ukrainian people. The numbers alone tell a horrific story: the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has confirmed the death of at least 9,444 civilians, including 545 children. Additionally, nearly 17,000 people, including 1,156 children, were wounded. The actual figures are likely much higher. By some estimates, the total number of casualties, both civilian and military, from both sides, has reached half a million," said Rosemary DiCarlo.

The diplomat also condemned the missile attacks by Russian terrorists on Ukraine's port infrastructure, residential buildings, the theater in Chernihiv, and other war crimes committed by Russia.
