Most active offensive: the General Staff named the hottest direction
Since the beginning of the day on August 4, the total number of combat clashes along the entire front line has increased to 70.

The Russian occupiers continue to use aviation to launch strikes from Russian airspace. They are most actively carrying out offensive actions in Donetsk region, Pokrovsk direction. They are attacking Chasiv Yar. Fierce battles are also ongoing in the area of the village of Zhelanne.
This was stated in the General Staff briefing on August 4.
The terrorists do not stop using artillery on the territories of Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Today, the areas of the settlements of Sopych, Bachivsk, Chuykivka and Progress were under mortar and artillery fire.
The situation on the front: the occupiers attack Chasiv Yar
According to the General Staff, in the Kramatorsk direction, the Russians carried out 10 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, Stupochky, Spirne and Ivanivske. Seven clashes are still ongoing. The enemy hit Hryhorivka with unguided air-launched missiles from army aviation.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy, supported by assault and bomber aviation, stormed Ukrainian positions 8 times. Currently, battles are taking place near New York and Zalizne.
The hottest area is in the Pokrovsk direction. Fierce battles are ongoing in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, Svyrydynivka, Zhelanne, Novoselivka Persha and Karlivka. The enemy made 16 attempts to storm Ukrainian positions. The aggressor struck the territories near Oleksandropil, Vozdvizhenka, Novohrodivka and Hrodivka with unguided missiles and guided bombs. In total 10 airstrikes has been carried out.
In the Kurakhove direction, 7 enemy assaults were repelled near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka.
