Night attack on Ukraine: Russia struck with "Iskanders" and drones

On the night of August 23, 2024, Russian forces once again attacked peaceful cities in Ukraine.

Details of the attack were reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

"The enemy launched two ballistic missiles" Iskander-M"/KN-23, from Voronezh region, and 16 "Shahed" attack drones (launched from Yeysk and Kursk). As a result of the combat work by air defense, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire teams of Ukraine's Defense Forces 14 "Shaheds" were shot down. Two others were lost from radar, and no reports of damage have been received," the report states.

Air defense systems were active in Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Sumy regions.
