The president commented on the Russian drone strike on the Chornobyl nuclear waste storage facility. He said that a Shahed drone struck one of the buildings of the Centralized Spent Fuel Storage Facility.

Currently, Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy, and all relevant agencies are working to convey this information to foreign partners.

"Today, the Russians once again struck a special territory around the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. An object of extremely critical infrastructure. And an extremely despicable Russian strike," Zelenskyy wrote.

According to him, Russia deliberately targeted this facility.

"As of now, there is no excess in radiation background levels. But there is definitely an excess of even the long-standing, outrageous Russian arrogance."

The President called on partners to take real steps so that the Russians feel that their war of terror is a blow against Russia itself.

Overnight, the Russians attacked several regions of Ukraine. Over the entire week, the Russian Federation launched 88 missiles, more than 3,250 strike drones, and around 1,800 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine.

Zelenskyy called for increasing pressure on Russia and thanked the partners assisting Ukraine.
