"Putin does not give up his plans": intelligence warns that the war in Ukraine will drag on

The war in Ukraine, unleashed by Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin, could last until winter.

The Central Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense warns that the Russian army is increasingly gaining ground in the Kherson region.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Defense Vadym Skibitsky, Putin will not give up his plans. It is possible that active hostilities will last until the end of the year. He has given his army the task of encircling the Ukrainian army in eastern Ukraine and reaching the borders of Luhansk and Donetsk regions for now.

However, Skibitsky clarified that the plans of the Russian military leadership are adjusted every month.

"Putin is not giving up on his plans. This war will drag on. It is unknown how long the active phase will drag on, whether it will be September or October, or the end of the year. It depends on our resistance, on the state of our defense forces and on the help we are given," - said a representative of the Ministry of Defense.

According to him, the fact that Russia plans to stay in the south of Ukraine for a long time is evidenced by the fact that the Russian army is deploying a powerful group in the invaded territories. It is a combined group that includes land, air and sea components. They created a system of logistics, using the captured railways, ports and airfields.

"Since the beginning of May, the russian forces have begun to strengthen their defenses. Appropriate engineering structures are being prepared, not one or two, but a third line of defense is being built. And this shows that the Russian Federation wants to stay for a long time," - Vadim Skibitsky added.
