Russia may launch up to a thousand Shaheds under certain conditions: Aviation expert explains

Russia could theoretically fire off about a thousand attack drones in a day, but a simultaneous launch is technically impossible.

Russia theoretically has enough launch sites to deploy around a thousand Shahed-type attack UAVs. However, a simultaneous mass salvo of that scale is unlikely.

Anatoliy Khrapchynskyi, former Air Force officer and deputy director of an electronic warfare manufacturing company, told 24 Kanal about this.

According to him, instead of a single strike, the enemy might send out small groups of drones over the course of a day to keep continuous pressure on Ukraine’s air defense system.

Khrapchynskyi clarified that this tactic is similar to «drip attacks» on Odesa region, with Russians sending small groups of Shaheds periodically during the day.

It keeps Ukrainian forces constantly tracking and neutralizing new targets, wearing down air defense resources.

«In general, it is possible to launch about a thousand drones, but only over a prolonged period, such as a day, with repeated launches at intervals, ” the expert said.
