Russian forces are trying to push through the front in several areas. There has been minor tactical advancement in the Pokrovsk direction, as well as along the border of Kursk and Sumy regions.

This was reported by military analyst Ivan Stupak during a broadcast on the FREEDОМ TV channel.

"Unfortunately, the Russian army has had some success on the front lines. These are not large-scale gains. But it’s important to remember that the Russian army's creeping offensives have been ongoing non-stop since October 2023," Stupak explained.

Ukraine currently has three weak spots along the front. According to the analyst, the front is being pushed in these areas, which is allowing the occupiers to gain local advantages. One such area is the Kursk region bordering Sumy.

As an example, Stupak cited Deep State data from May 16, which indicates that Russia now controls about 100 square kilometers of the region.

"The Russian Federation is entering the territory of the Sumy region. The second location is the Novopavlivka directionю This is in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where about 20 settlements have been declared under evacuation. Local authorities announced the evacuation because they can no longer guarantee the safety of civilians there. Pokrovsk–Kostiantynivka — unfortunately, there is advance there as well," the analyst said.

He emphasizes that the Russian military command recognized opportunities to advance in these directions and has therefore been tasked with pushing forward as far and as fast as possible in these areas.
