Sabotage at Georgian Legion base: Volunteer killed
The Georgian Legion has reported a sabotage incident at one of its bases, resulting in the death of a young fighter, Demetre Darchia.

The incident was confirmed in an official statement by the Legion as well as by its commander, Mamuka Mamulashvili.
«Today, a sabotage was carried out at the base of the Georgian Legion, during which an explosive device, brought to the territory by an unidentified individual, detonated. This incident led to the death of our soldier — Demetre Darchia, ” the statement reads.
The Legion believes the incident was a well-planned operation, suspiciously coinciding with Russia Day, observed on June 12.
Commander Mamulashvili added that, according to preliminary data, an explosive substance was brought onto the base and detonated while the soldier was in close proximity to it.
Relevant authorities are continuing the investigation.
