On the evening of September 16, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traditionally addressed Ukrainians and talked about the main events of the day.

Victory Plan

According to the Head of State, throughout the day, meetings were held in various formats to prepare Ukrainian Victory Plan.

"The real substance of all the points – military, political, diplomatic and economic. Key people from each sector are involved. The necessary steps for Ukraine have already been clearly defined. The steps designed to give us the strongest possible position to bring about peace – a real, just peace. For each step, there is a clear list of what is needed and what will strengthen us. There is nothing impossible in this plan," - Zelenskyy says.

The President noted that over 90% of the Victory Plan had already been written out. Next week it will be presented to the allies.

Frontline

Zelenskyy received a report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi on the situation at the front. According to the President, over a hundred battles have taken place since the start of this day, with the most intense fighting in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions.

"Specifically and in detail regarding the Kursk operation, we are acting exactly as planned every day. I want to thank each of our brigades and units for their coordinated actions and real resilience," the President added.

Meeting of the Staff

The President also held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff today. The protection of energy facilities was discussed in detail. Prime Minister Shmyhal and energy companies reported.

"There was also a substantive intelligence report on the situation within the occupier's army and territory, and among its people. It is important for us that the perception of the war in Russia is worsening – the perception of the results of Putin’s policies. We are working to ensure that reality overcomes Russian state propaganda. Of course, we are also preparing for the actions Russia plans to take next on the battlefield. We continue to work to ensure Ukraine has sufficient resources and means for drone production and supply," the President concluded.
