During a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday, February 6, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he was willing to negotiate with Vladimir Putin, but only when Ukraine and its partners have a common understanding of how the war must end.
This was reported by "Interfax-Ukraine."
"Undoubtedly, the U.S., President Trump, and the European Union countries believe that diplomacy is impossible without Russia, without Putin. And so I said: I am ready, if we have an understanding of how this war will end," the President said.
He emphasized that achieving a lasting peace with strong security guarantees is crucial. Work on this is currently being conducted together with the American team.
"Nevertheless, we will work to ensure a shared understanding and vision. Even if Russia does not like something, we need a common vision among our partners. And then we will be ready for diplomacy," Zelenskyy stressed.
