The occupiers continue to bombard the Zaporizhzhia district with heavy shelling.
TSN correspondent Daria Nazarova reported this from the scene on November 3.
Four explosions rocked the Zaporizhzhia district overnight on November 3. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties.
Over the past 24 hours, 15 settlements in the region came under nearly 800 enemy strikes. The occupiers attacked civilians using aircraft, artillery, and more than 500 strike drones.
The drones targeted the regional capital the day before. In Zaporizhzhia’s residential neighborhoods, more than 65 houses were damaged. Three people sustained injuries and are receiving outpatient treatment. Around 58,000 households were left without power. Despite the threat of renewed strikes, repair crews immediately began restoring the power grid, and by evening, Regional Military Administration Head Ivan Fedorov reported that electricity supply had been fully restored. As for the shattered homes, repairs will take far longer.
The private sector of Zaporizhzhia was hit with MLRS fire. Russian shrapnel tore through an entire street — not a single window survived in the houses. A large crater left by a Russian rocket gapes nearby.
Explosions in the city rang out at 2 a.m. At that moment, says Mr. Mykhailo, he and his family were sound asleep. After the first blast, he grabbed his wife and son and ran for shelter.
Now, Mykhailo is trying to put his home back together and plans to relocate his family to a safer place.
“All the windows in the house blew out. The doors flew off, the roof is gone. Everything’s destroyed. We’ll be moving in with relatives, because it’s impossible to live here now,” he says.
A neighboring house survived the attack, but now stands without windows or doors. Only cracked walls remain.
Three people were injured in the strike. The oldest is 91. His granddaughter Hanna says she has already taken him to stay with relatives. The elderly man still hasn’t recovered from the shock of that night.
The enemy shelling left 58,000 residents of Zaporizhzhia without power. Energy crews are currently carrying out repair and restoration work.
