The Kremlin continues to maintain that it seeks peace in Ukraine, claiming it knows how to end the war it initiated, while sticking to its demands for Kyiv.

Kirill Dmitriev, a Russian official handling economic cooperation, stated that the Russian Federation’s position on a potential «settlement» is «clear and consistent.» Furthermore, Dmitriev added, Moscow has «very clearly outlined what a peaceful settlement looks like,» noting that the «fuhrer» Vladimir Putin had specifically emphasized this.

The Russian official reiterated Moscow’s demand for Ukraine to withdraw from the Donbas region, claiming that this is the position of not only Moscow but also Washington. He brazenly called it a «realistic solution.»

«I think there is a realistic solution on the table right now. If Ukraine accepts it, peace will come immediately,» Dmitriev stated.
