Plan to end the war in Ukraine: CCD comments on media claims

Andriy Kovalenko has refuted media reports about alleged "plans" to end the war.

Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andriy Kovalenko

Head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, called media reports about "plans" and "agreements" with conditions for ending the war fabrications.

Kovalenko wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

"Information about various "plans" and "agreements" with conditions appearing in different media is fiction. No media outlet possesses any plans, as an entirely different process is underway," the CCD head stated.

He also urged people to "reflect less" on such reports.

Kovalenko likely referred to a publication by the Polish outlet Onet. The day before, it claimed that during a meeting between U.S. President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Russian president Vladimir Putin, Washington presented Moscow with a ceasefire plan for Ukraine agreed upon with Europe. The outlet listed alleged conditions, calling them "extremely favorable" for Russia.

Political analyst Oleh Saakyan did not rule out that the conditions mentioned by Onet may exist, but he considers the prospects for implementing such a plan highly doubtful.
